Disorder Name : Skin Disorders


Description: The skin is an organ of the body that is the largest and most visible of the body’s organs completely encasing the other organs and tissues. It is one of the most complex organ because it interacts with many other organs. Any problem with the skin puts a strain on the other three major organs involved in eliminating wastes, the kidneys, lungs and bowels. The main purpose of skin is to act as a shield, protecting the interior from external stress: diseases and infections such as bacteria, viruses and allergens and environmental factors such as the sun, wind, heat, dryness, cold weather, pollution and cigarette smoke. It also helps to regulate the body temperature through perspiration, which acts as a cooling process.
